Sri Krishna Jayanthi

This is a Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna. I remember my family performing pooja, preparing sweets on this day and especially the cute drawing patterns of little children's footprints outside the house with rice-flour paste, walking towards the house. This symbolizes the entry of the infant Krishna into their homes.

Yesterday happened to be this festival and I enjoyed performing this pooja in my home, first time. I know some people might even faint at the thought that I did this pooja (as I never even showed any interest on this kind before). Credit goes entirely to my cousin sister for inspiring me to take this little step. This is for you Shanthi Ka and to my Grand Ma. I know nothing can make you guys happy other than this. Love you so much.

I am so glad I did this pooja and to you all, may you have a wonderful, peaceful and memorable Sri Krishna Jayanthi/Gokulashtami.
